Flamenco itself is a traditional art form originating from Andalucia, Spain. The art form combines dance "baile", music "toque", and song "cante", powered by the fire of passion "duende".

What you need to bring/ wear:

  • Water

  • Comfortable shoes to dance in (sneakers/ sports shoes)

  • Comfortable outfit to move and dance in.

  • A small towel for sweat.

The instructor:

The moment Rachel discovered Flamenco in 2006, she realized she had finally found the dance for her, having always been told she is too heavy footed for any dance. She has studied Flamenco dancing in Australia under Serena Joy (Arte Gitana), Marina Tamayo (Flamenco Australia), and then in Singapore with Tania Goh, Paloma Gomez and Manuel Betanzos (Spanish Dance Singapore). She has performed in Australia and Singapore under the respective dance maestras, and also with her university group "Cuadro Flamenco".
